Historically, through your generosity, Blessed Sacrament has provided Thanksgiving food baskets for our parish families going through challenging economic times. This year more families are challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic; more than a few parishioners have experienced reduced salaries and layoffs.
Your act of charity helps spread the good news of the Gospel. As Pope Francis said, “practicing charity is the best way to evangelize.” If you wish to donate a turkey or ham, please bring them to the Parish Office on any Wednesday between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm. Beginning October 31st, you may drop them off on Sundays between 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. A staff member will place them in the freezer chest. Please do not leave a gifted turkey unattended. It would be unfortunate to have the turkey or ham spoiled because of a lack of proper placement.
The parish also wants to give each family a gift card to be used at a grocery store to help supplement their groceries for their Thanksgiving meal. You can drop the gift cards by the Parish office in the marked box or a box in the parish narthex.
We would like to have the items delivered no later than November 22nd.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and continued blessings.
