A MESSEAGE FROM DEACON ERIC KOPPI To my dear family in Christ,
The Faith Formation program in this Parish is an important part of our Catholic community. Each year we are entrusted to teach hundreds of our youth about the Gospel. This effort is led by our Director, Mary Foy, and her assistant, Eric Specian. We are also indebted to all our volunteers, namely, catechists, catechist aides, hall monitors, and teenage volunteers. And while we endeavor to reach all those in this program through both word and deed, it is the parents, grandparents, and other family members who are the most influential in providing the way of the Gospel. For this reason, we have invited the parents and any interested family members to join us in church related activities. Instead of waiting in the parking lot or running small errands, we have and will continue to invite adults to join us. These activities occur typically each month. Our progress has been noticeable. This effort began at the end of last year. At that time, one parent joined us. Our last activity was on the topic of gratitude, just before Thanksgiving, where the youngsters stated in church to what and/or whom they give thanks. We had 56 adults attend during Monday and Tuesday evening classes. Thank you! God Bless You! Families coming together in Christ is very powerful. Please continue to support your children. I believe strongly in this Faith Formation ministry. I, along with all members of the Faith Formation team, are here to help. Please use us as a resource as you see fit. God is real, prayer is real and your importance of bringing the light of Jesus our Lord to your family is also real.
